To put a bow on 2016 and launch the Holiday Season, our Club enjoyed a festive Winter Party. In a most beautiful home, we enjoyed tea and hot chocolate in china cups & saucers and (as you can see) didn’t hold back on eating many delicious treats. Music was live and lovely, with musicians Barbara Heninger Smith on violin and Nancy Heninger Russell on cello. I know I am in good company by saying that this event always launches the holidays on just the right note! Thanks to one and all for this celebration, especially Cecilia and Flora who did the lion’s share of organizing.
Please DO keep posted on the Website. We have some Presentation Summaries from 2016 still to share. Things come up! If you want to add to the blog, just send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org or call Janet (who would love collaborators).
Our Spring Season starts, March 7th with a very special guest, University of Calgary’s Writer-in-Residence Shane Book. More on that later.
