Globe & Mail journalist and author Carolyn Abraham is coming to Calgary March 29 for a fundraising event. Carolyn Abraham has been an interesting part of the growing conversations surrounding genealogy and the ethics of genetic testing. She wrote a novel based on her own experience using genetic testing on herself and numerous family members to trace their ancestry (across continents and with some skeletons coming out of the closet).
The event will feature a keynote address and book signing by Carolyn and is emceed by Dr. Raj Bhardwaj. It also includes appetizers and a few silent auction items and prizes!
All proceeds will go to the Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society to help children affected by FASD.
