Numerous notable (and lesser-known) authors have been nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature, yet they have never won this prestigious award. The 2025-2026 CWLC program explores “nominees for the Nobel Prize in Literature, living or deceased, who were nominated at least once but never won.” Leo Tolstoy, James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, and Margaret Atwood are only a few of the many writers who fit this category.
This year’s theme promises to bring forth fabulous member presentations and engaging discussions.
