CPL Book Drive

Dear Book Lovers,

I thought you might be interested in making shelf space for new books by donating old ones to a good cause! The announcement below is by the Calgary Public Library.

There is also a story time event this Saturday for those of you with young ones in your lives!

To kick off a fresh start to the new year, TD is hosting a book drive that will not only help Calgarians clean their homes of unwanted books, but also allow them to give back to the Library.

On Saturday, TD, in partnership with WordFest and the Library, is holding a special storytime in two of its branches. Join us from 1:00-3:00 at TD Market Mall or TD Macleod & 94th Avenue for refreshments, a presentation from a local author, free TD branded Library cards and a gift for all children in attendance.

The storytime events will launch the start of the TD Book Drive, which runs from January 23- 31, 2016. During the week, Calgarians can visit 43 TD branches across the city to donate books, CDs and DVDs. All proceeds from book donations (through a partnership with Better World Books) will be invested back into the Calgary Public Library to enhance collections and programming.
